Since we use structurally insulated panels, typically, it will take one week to install a standard sized garden pod on site. However, it can take as long as two weeks for larger sized projects. Landscaping projects will take much longer. Construction includes building the room, as well as doing the finishings.

In a vast majority of cases, you will not need planning permission to build a garden room on your property.
This is because the garden offices Sussex we build comply with planning permissions. Our rooms are 25 meters high, are 1 m away from the boundary for constructions that have a floor space of 15 by 30 square meters. Maximum internal floor space is 30 meters. These requirements are ‘permitted development’; therefore, they do not require any special permission to construct.

There are a few exceptions that will require planning permission. In case you need planning permission, we can apply for this on your behalf, at an additional fee.
Yes, your room will need to have a stable foundation. It is preferable that the ground be flat and level.
We can also install a foundation on a gently sloping ground. In cases where the ground slopes steeply, then we will first need to level it before we start building on it. If this is the case, we will let you know during the planning stage.
Some of the foundations we use for our garden pods Sussex include pile foundation. This is suitable both for a flat or gently sloping ground. This can take up to half a day. We can also use a concrete foundation. We can get rid of any waste before we start building.
Our garden pods Sussex are externally clad in Western red cladding. Western red cladding has natural preservatives and is rich in colour. This makes it highly resistant to rot and decay without needing any extra treatment. Over time, the western clad will get bleached naturally and turn into a grey colour.
The quote for each garden pod includes an electric mains package. Your garden office Sussex will be connected to the electric mains supply. This will be done as long as the garden office is situated 10 meters from the mains supply. Any distance further from this will be charged at a rate of 10 pounds per meter.
In addition, we will also install the consumer unit, sockets, lighting and switches in the building using the services of a qualified electrician.
Yes. We work with plumbers and can connect a running water supply in the building. There is also provision for water waste facilities.
Our buildings are externally covered with redwood. We will also install a window and a door. You will get to choose from different flooring options.
We need clear access to the site. This means that we will need to access the property through a side entrance or the back.
However, if this is not possible, then we will carry the materials through the main house, but we will first lay a protective covering over the floor. We will advise you on this during the first site visit.
We are based in Sussex and will carry out installations in Sussex and surrounding areas only.
You will pay a 50% deposit of the total order value once we agree that we will start working on the house. These funds will go towards purchasing material for constructing the house.
The remaining 50% balance will become payable on successful completion of the project and you confirm that you are happy with the building.
